So I leave today. I can't believe that it is finally here, I feel like it was just yesterday that I got the call from BigStuf saying that I got the internship! I leave today from Cedar Rapids to fly to St. Petersburg, Florida where my grandpa will be coming to pick me up. I am staying with him and Sue for about a week down in Sarasota then he is driving me to a suburb of Atlanta to stay with one of the interns for a couple days. I finally get to meet all of the interns on the 20th! All 17 of us have been communicating on Facebook together and it's weird to think that I haven't ever met them, because I feel like I know them so well already!
For those of you who know my mother, you know that today will not be one of her best days! ;) She has already cried twice this morning, so if you see her, make sure to give her a hug or send her an encouraging text message! (She will be a wreck)
I am extremely excited to start my summer, but I am nervous and sad to be leaving Cedar Falls and all of the people that I love here. But I know that this is what God wants me to do be doing and I can't wait to see what He has planned for the summer! Please be praying for safe travels for me and the other interns as all of us make our way to Alpharetta, GA on the 20th!
